American Issues
Course Summary
Students will study issues upon which there is disagreement and practice analyzing problems, discriminating between fact and opinion, discussing differing viewpoints and drawing conclusions. Among the topics which will be selected for study are: Poverty in America, Criminal Justice, Ethics in Government, Education, Immigration, issues of race and gender, healthcare, homeland security and issues concerning the separation of church and state.
